Do Your Own Stomach Surgery to Cut Appetite?

Why do those who have gastroplasty (stomach surgery) lose weight?  Because they fill up with food before they eat too many calories.  The problem with this surgery is that 42% of those who have the operation will regain every pound and 1% of those who have the operation will die from the operation.

How can you accomplish the same thing at home?  By eating plenty of foods that fill you up without supplying many calories.  Please let me explain this very powerful principle...

Most people try to lose weight by decreasing the amount they eat and changing very little about what they eat.  This may work in the short run, but after a time, most people feel restricted and go back to eating too many calories again.  A better way to lose weight:  Eat more food; do not limit the amount of food eaten.   Rather than decrease the amount of food eaten, start eating more food.  But, decrease the amount of calories by eating more foods with fewer calories per cup.

For example:  one large muffin or a 5 oz piece of cake has about 750 calories.  To get that same number of calories, you would need to eat 5 1/2 cups of corn or 11 tomatoes.  You would probably fill up long before you ate 22 tomatoes, but most people could easily eat 2 pieces of cake.  This is a good example of how eating foods with fewer calories per cup will fill you up before you eat too many calories.  There's just one big problem...

Most people would rather eat the calorie rich foods than eat the foods that supply few calories per bite.  So, what's the long term solution?  Learn new foods that supply few calories while filling you up with volume and that still taste rich.  With Splenda now on the market and the latest technology in food design, it's now possible to make large volume foods that taste like desert and yet supply few calories.

For a convenient way to eat 1000 calories per day...

Important tip to avoid hunger:

For the most weight loss and the best appetite suppression, I prefer whey protein (soy is not as nutritionally complete and does not suppress appetite as well in most people).  The shakes should be around 200 calories.  Click here to buy from my favorite source.    Two boxes of the meal replacements will last a week (not cheap but the best I've found and it still gives you a total grocery bill for the week of only about $60.

If you develop diarrhea (some do when eating mostly protein drinks) then supplement with either Metamucil or with FiboTrim by clicking here.  The extra fiber usually slows down the diarrhea and also acts as an appetite suppressant.
