As a college student,
when I read the following words by Sigmund Freud about Leonardo
da Vinci, I became fascinated and determined to learn how to use
the lesson in my own studies and life (the words were written in
1910 while discussing "Leonardo da Vinci and a Memory of His
Childhood") ....
Sigmund Freud said, "In reality,
Leonardo was not
devoid of passion; he did not lack the divine spark
which is directly or indirectly the driving force --il primo
motore--behind all human activity.
He had merely
converted his passion into a thirst for knowledge; he then
applied himself to investigation with the persistence,
constancy and penetration which is derived from passion, and
at the climax of intellectual labor, when knowledge had been
won, he allowed the long restrained affect to break loose
and to flow away freely, as a stream of water drawn from a
river is allowed to flow away when its work is done.
When, at the climax of a discovery, he could survey a large
portion of the whole nexus, he was overcome by emotion, and
in ecstatic language praised the splendor of the part of
creation that he had studied, or--in religious
phraseology--the greatness of his Creator.
This process of
transformation [transmutation] in Leonardo has been rightly
understood by Solmi. After quoting a passage of this sort
in which Leonardo celebrates the sublime law of nature, he
writes "Such a transfiguration of natural science into a
sort of religious emotion is one of the characteristic
features of Leonardo's manuscripts and there are hundreds
and hundreds of examples of it."
No, I do not claim to be another Leonardo. But, I have
experimented with this technique (sex transmutation) for the
past 20 years and have found the process to be of great help
(while working as research chemist, news paper reporter,
personal trainer, ER physician, research physician, author, and
father and husband).
Last week, I received
a phone call from a professor of world religion (from a college
in another state) asking me to explain in more detail how I put
into practice this idea of sex transmutation to help with
health, intellectual pursuits, and sexual function. This was
the second such call within the week (the first was from a
professor of computer science). As I spoke with him and
realized that during our 30 minute conversation I was only able
to tell him a fraction of what I wanted him to know, I knew that
I needed to put together a more detailed explanation about what
to do to actually live by the cycle and learn the sex surfing
technique.
Tip #1: One technique that helped me
transmute energy over the years is listening to spoken word
recordings while falling asleep (to help redirect the
mind). But it makes a huge difference which tapes I use.
An email describing the techniques would be too long, and I'm
not sure the topic deserves another book; so, I've put together
an audio course (two CD's). This CD is not a beginning course.
This should only be tried after
working with the
original course (Anytime...for
as Long as You Want, Strength, Genius, Libido, & Erection by
Integrative Sex Transmutation) for at least two weeks
(which describes more of the theory behind sex transmutation and
introduces you to the technique). In this more advanced course,
I give the following techniques:
- What to do if you're married and want to apply
transmutation to your work.
- How to live by the cycle if you are a teenager or in
your early 20's.
- How to use the technique
- More specifically what to do about "blue balls."
- How sex transmutation improves prostate health (and
why frequent ejaculation for prostate problems may be
bad advice).
- How to talk with your girl friend or wife about sex
transmutation
- How to use sex transmutation to help solve a
specific problem or challenge.
- How sex transmutation helps with depression
The course is available from my office to ship after
September the 20th. Pre-publication orders (before
September 20) can have the course for $12. After that, the
price will go to $19.85.
Use the tips in this 2-CD course for as long as you
want. If you do not think the course gives you much more
that what you paid, return any time for a refund (I only ask
that you at least try the techniques for at least two
weeks. Some of the techniques seem simple but are very
powerful).
Tip #2: Another technique for transmutation was described by
Freud as follows: "replace its [sex urge] immediate aim by
other aims which may be valued more highly and which are not
sexual." To do this I've found it helps to go to have a well
documented list of goals and be working to achieve them. King
David got into trouble when he was home spying on the neighbor
taking a bath while his soldiers were at war. When he took his
eye off the more important responsibilities, the sex urge got him
in trouble and drained rather than strengthened. It's practical
tips like this that I discuss in this supplemental course.
